Celkon has introduced a new 4G-enabled smartphone in India, called the Diamond 4G Plus. Priced at Rs. 6,369, the company is selling the Celkon Diamond 4G Plus via Amazon India. The smartphone is however is also available via other third-party online retailers in the country.
At this price point, the Diamond 4G Plus will be competing against some of the 4G-enabled handsets in the same price segment including the Intex Cloud Jewel, which is priced slightly lower at Rs. 5,999; theXolo Era 4K smartphone priced at Rs. 6,499 which also packs a large 4000mAh battery, and Reliance Retail’s Lyf Flame 1, which was unveiled recently at Rs. 6,490.

Diamond 4G Plus features a 5-inch IPS display with a HD (720×1280 pixels) screen resolution and a pixel density of roughly 294ppi.
The dual-SIM handset is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek processor clubbed with 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone packs 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).
It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Connectivity options of the Diamond 4G Plus include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot functionality, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, Micro-USB 2.0, USB-OTG, and GPS/ A-GPS.
According to the company, the Diamond 4G Plus supports both LTE bands in India – FDD 1800MHz (Band 3) and TDD 2300MHz (Band 40).
